Parish Councillor code of conduct in respect of confidentiality

I have raised a question to a parish councillor and subsequently received abusive text messages from his wife. Has the councillor breached the confidentiality code of practice by providing her with my name and details of the question raised.

Yes unless she is a Councillor too.

Did the wife have yr phone number already or did he give it to her?
Are her messages exclusively in relation to PC business?

Unless the wife is (a) also a councillor or (b) would already have your contact details and be aware of your question/complaint, there is a suggestion here that there has been a GDPR breach.  I'd direct my complaint to the monitoring officer and ICO.

Possible but impossible, without more detail, to know either way.
The question may have been in open forum and the wife of the Cllr may already have had the persons contact details from unrelated business. Under those circumstances- depending upon the level of ‘abuse’, it could be noting for MO / ICO but rather a police matter under abusive communications act.
Impossible to know with such scant detail.
