I'm tempted to copy questions and responses to and from Counterpoint to parish council colleagues to inform debate. Is this lawful?

Good question!

My understanding would be that the copyright for each contribution (question or answer) belongs to the contributor. Copyright in the compilation that is the whole web site belongs to me.

I'm willing to grant a general permission to quote anything I have said, provided it is attributed to this web site.

As owner of the web site, I also grant a general permission to distribute links to the site or to individual questions and their answers.
