Wall for Teacher

I recently attended a zoom Parish Council meeting as a member of the public; a matter of a planning application was being discussed. There were letters both for and against the highly emotive application however none of these were read out and appeared to be ignored completely. As a member of the public, I had expected my letter to be read out so my opinion would be heard, especially due to the restrictions in speaking out in a zoom meeting. Does anyone know why our letters were ignored? What are the regulations concerning the letters sent to Parish Councils? Some of the letters were written by very elderly residents who could not access the planning details online or attend a zoom meeting. They rightly feel excluded and frustrated that their views were not heard and the Parish Council subsequently voted against them. Thank you for your time.
