Defeated motion - can it be overruled?

Evening all. Can anyone please help?
If a motion/proposal is put to the vote at Committee level and is voted against by a majority, can that motion/proposal then be re-discussed and voted on again at full council level when the minutes are submitted at that next full council meeting?

That depends on the detail of the terms of reference for the committee. If the role of the council is to approve the minutes and/or ratify the recommendations, that is all they can do.

Don't forget that you also could have the standing order item that prevents revisiting decisions within 6 months that also might come into play.
