If you can prove that the Town Clerk is not doing her job properly and going against town councillors wishes who do you complain to.

The Town Clerk is an employee of the Town Council and any concerns relating to her efficiency or competence are matters for her employer, having due regard to any contract of employment and other employment rules and regs.

Part of the Clerk's role is to guide the council in correct procedure and thereby help to prevent the council acting outside the rules and in this respect, it can sometimes feel that the Clerk is overiding the council.  However, any clerk must be clerk to the whole council and carry out the legitimate business of the council
