Is a Parish Councillor obliged to be a charity trustee when the council, as a body corporate, are trustees.

We are recruiting new councillors, the parish council as a body corporate are trustees of a charity, can the new councillors decline from being trustees?

No. The Council is the Trustee and individual members are merely officers acting on behalf of the Council in the administration of the charity.

You've asked two opposing questions there, so to clarify my answer, is the councillor obliged, no and can they decline, they don't need to, as they can't be an individual Trustee.
