During a meeting, a Councillor used language and terms which fall as harassment under our Policy. However, my letter of complaint forwarded to the Chairman was later circulated to all Councillors together with the resignation by the perpetrator citing 'my pettiness' as her reason for leaving. this seems so wrong on numerous levels, but am I correct? I am a councillor at the same council.

Ignore it, it’s done!
There’s no action that can be taken against you and you have the right to reply if you wish. Apart from that just ignore them as what they’ve done is show pettiness by forwarding to everyone.
