If the letter was submitted to the clerk initially and then changed their minds - is that OK to do that???

I have always been of the view that once the clerk has received communications it should be logged and date/time stamped - Am I wrong???

If it was 'received' by the chairman then they have resigned, even if the Clerk rung the Chairman to inform them of the resignation it has been received.
