Delay of due process of Election

Unquestionably as all scheduled Elections have been postponed to next May, what recourse is available to reschedule Parish /Town council Elections which were due although not postponed.

If the poll was called (ten electors signatures requesting an election) and submitted to the district returning officer in time, then your recourse would be to the returning officer to query when the election happen.

The scheduling of called elections is for the district returning officer and not the Parish (this is also the case for county elections where the district returning officer remains the responsible body.

Full council elections have been postponed.

Has this been overshadowed by the current crisis as there is a conflicting response from the election and democratic services at the District level claiming that the signatories request in writing the due election process as advertised then stating the likelihood of co-option the preferred outcome of all interested parties.
