I have been 'volunteered' with the task of setting up a 'meet/greet and grill us to within an inch of our lives' session for the candidates and electorate (seriously, we're all friends here). I also happen to be a handy insomniac.
Trying to find a suitable time and venue that suits as many candidates as possible is like herding cats....

Given that the election is on 2 May 2019, is there a date/time by which campaigning must cease?

10pm on the 2nd May.

Note that you are allowed to book local authority maintained buildings (including schools) for free. Speak to your elections unit who will advise you of buildings that are set aside for this purpose, they are required to have a list.

I telephoned the Election office yesterday to ask and they claimed that they didn’t know what I was talking about. Obviously not a Nationwide initiative.
