Clerks progression

Hi all again, an entry level clerk must start on a salary scale, after 1 year of satisfactory service they should move up the pay scale. Is there an average annual expected progression yearly for clerks. TIA

The model contract of employment offers different ways of addressing this, either with no progression, or automatic progression or discretionary progression etc. Your Council will have selected one option. You will have to comply with whatever was agreed when the Clerk was employed as it will be in the contract.
