I think we need a bit more context here.  What false information?  What happened as a result of that misinformation?

Councillors are bound to follow a Code of Conduct. One of the requirements is that they 'act with integrity and honesty'

If you are saying that they knowingly presented false information (rather than just being wrong about something) then they will have breached the Code of Conduct and you would be entitled to make a complaint to the Monitoring Officer of your main council.
