We have a new Parish Clerk who has taken on the running of community events which were usually run by volunteer councillors.
In her words “It is the responsibility of staff and not councillors to run events”.
It now transpires that she is expected to be paid overtime to perform this function.
My question is should a Parish Clerk be paid overtime or just be given time off in lieu. I believe the option might be linked to her pay scale point and is evidenced in the Green Book which I can not get a copy of.
