The council has inherited some web cast and public meeting equipment from our, now defunct, town forum.

Before suggesting a possible use for this I would like to ascertain its serviceability.

I am adequately qualified to do this and don't want the council to incur any charges.

With the permission of the council should I be allowed to do this
The clerk is adamant this this is not possible.

Perfectly reasonable - ask the clerk what their objection is.

If you are suitably qualified, what's the problem.
