Our standing orders allow for blind votes for fulfilling PC positions such as Chair, V Chair etc after being amended last year. Our Clerk received advice that this was possible. Is this advice sound?

I know that if any councilor asks for a recorded vote this trumps the blind vote but I am querying allow a blind vote in the first place.

Do you mean a written vote?

If SOs allow it it is possible but if a Cllr asks for a named vote that also is possible.
Routine is show of hands but other options are possible
