Hi All

Hope you are all well I have a question my parish council of which I’m one of have all been given a parishcouncil.gov.uk email address which is fine but some of us have a problem because we would like to view them through our gmail accounts but we’ve not been given the appropriate information to do so ie a step by step instructions for Dummies like me we don’t want to use outlook or web browser etc to view them just gmail
I’ve looked on the internet which says you can view non gmail addressed email on gmail but when trying to do this on gmail I get server error then something about POP3 and you can’t get any further and it won’t let you use Glink as it won’t let you click on it

Is there anybody out there that can help us with this issue it would be appreciated by us all  (step by step please)

Thanks for your time
Kind regards Simon the simple one

Not totally sure of the set-up of the PC .gov mailbox but compared to others there should be a facility for diversion of your name @yourpc.gov.uk to your gmail email account. There would not be an inbuilt facility to answer from your gmail account as this defeats the object of the .gov mailbox which is the recording in one place all the PC and councillors communications. Having a divert would allow you to get notifications of .gov mailbox(and read) without opening  the .gov mailbox Why not just have the .gov included on your phone, tablet or PC or laptop directly so you don't need programmes like outlook. The clerk should be able to give you the necessary server codes to facilitate this. You can have as many email accounts on your phone as you want or as an icon on your pc (and others)to connect with single click

You can add a non Gmail account to a g mail app or web based G mail access. You may need to ask the clerk for the smptp mail server credentials if you are getting POP3 error messages.
