The clerk of my local community council has discussed emails of me to her with 2 of her family members and perhaps others too. The emails were just a request for information. For whatever reason she lied to her family members about my emails.
Surely, a clerk should not be discussing an email from a resident with family members? Isn't this a breach of my privacy?

How do you "know" there has been a discussion?

The family member of clerk told me and when confronted  the clerk admitted it.
OK, so does your community council have a process for receiving and dealing with public complaints about employees behaviour?  They should - but that is not to say they will.

Next move is to contact the employer and state your grievance so that they can progress it.
A Councillor told me how I can go down the complaint route. I am considering it but am worried about causing grief to her family member who is elderly. She has told this family member she now has to face a disciplinary. I don't believe that because I haven't formally complained. I wish I knew the clerk's motive. It's either personal or because of me being a planning objector which is causing some problems for the council. Thanks very much for your comment. I will have to have a good think about what to do next.

Discretion seems to be a dirty word with some clerks who take it upon themselves to be olde Squires...question is who do they come under, I dong seem to get a real answer, many have said...no one...so if not, Why Not?
