To carry forward 1weeks holiday to 2024/25 I do not see any reason to  close the meeting what are your thoughts?

Agree with RAC and looking ahead, you might consider formulating a policy on use of leave for clarity.

It's worth noting that the model contract of employment for a Clerk includes a right to carry forward up to 5 days into the following year, subject to approval. The old model specifies the approval of the Council, whereas the new model specifies the Manager. The new model promotes the role of an individual to act as the Clerk's line manager for such matters, subject to appropriate delegation from the Council or the Staffing Committee.
