Good morning

As a new parish-councillor since May I am keen to learn.

It has always been my understanding that the 3 clear day rule DID NOT include weekend days.

We have had an agenda changed 3 times this week and the last time was yesterday (Wednesday).

It was my view that as the meeting is this Monday coming, that we would be breaking the law.

I have since been advised that Saturday is classed as a working day and that as the meeting is on Monday that we are able to use Sunday too.

I am quite confused and would appreciate any clarification on the matter.

Thank you

Three clear days excludes the day the agenda is issued/posted and the day of the meeting.  It does not include Sundays, bank holidays or days of public mourning.  It can include a Saturday.  An agenda sent out on a Wednesday for a Monday meeting would be perfectly legal in my opinion other than if somewhere in there would be a day of public mourning.
