Can we donate to SEN equipment at the local school?

Is it a Local Authority school or an academy / multi academy trust?

If an academy of MAT then they are a business.  You shouldn't provide s137 funding to a business.

If they are LA why would a PC want to pay for what a LA should provide?

Somewhere, and sorry I don't have time to look up the actual reference, there is a specific exclusion on funding something that should be part of the core funding for a school.  However, some councils do donate (equipment or grants) to a PTA (parent/teacher association).
