Councillors not sorting payments out!

Question

Councillors not getting signatories on bank for 3 months, the clerk after being bullied & intimidated. I run the Metheringham swimming pool & had the same but stood up to them! Nothing is being paid, utilities, contractors, suppliers (I’m have a cleaning contract, I’m now owed £1800.00).  I’ve had a solicitor involved & sent warning letters regarding small claims court, they still haven’t sorted it. Monitoring officer not interested, mp & NKDC can’t do anything. I’ve followed solicitors instructions but have to take them to small claims court who are 12 months behind. Should I go to our local paper, let villagers know what they are doing, as they are due a meeting & on the agenda is to buy Christmas trees for the village!

Why not go to the next PC meeting and ask why the council has not paid your bill. Of course, tip off the local newspaper that you are asking the question and they may be interested in attending and following it up

I have asked them at every end of month meeting but they don’t seem bothered. I’m in the process of getting someone from local paper to come to the meeting. Thanks it’s so frustrating with Christmas coming.

Send final / over due invoice plus admin and SCC fees by recorded delivery and start SCC process immediately. Once it’s in, it’s in.
You’ll be due outstanding invoice, plus dispersements plus interest.
