Could not agree more with that statement. All councils (councillors and their employees) must at all times( unless legally confined) follow that call, to be open, honest and truthful in all matters as a matter of course and NOT as seems to be the case in too many councils doing everything to prevent this happening.

Can anyone put forward a reason why NOT?

It may be time consuming and an inconvenience and more work but tough! it is a debt owed to those who elected you to represent them- How many problems would be solved in this world if that principle was adhered to?
