As a newly formed shadow town council until elections in May 2022 we are looking into holding an event to light the Wickford brazier type beacon for the celebrations. Can anyone provide information on the best way to light the beacon (approx 15 feet up) and what would be the best fuel to use in it to last a couple of hours.
Many thanks

Thank you for your answer, we have the invitation to take part via the NALC and the guide. The question is about the practicalities of the actual lighting that does not seem to be covered.
