I had a coffee upstairs window table overlooking Bth Square

From 'Moon in the Square'.

I noticed they had erected a 'Marble Arch', 'Arc de Triumph' structure acting as a portal for pedestrians from the Lower Pleasure Gardens into the 'Square'. This was naturally a fibre glass structure in the colour grey.

I think it would be marvellous if you could erect a 'Marble Arch'  in stone as a portal from the square to the pleasure gardens for pedestrians. The stone colour would have to be sympathetic to the surrounding classical buildings. eg portland or perhaps darker.

I realise this idea would be expensive. But I think it would give Bournemouth a touch of extra class.

I was born and bred in Bournemouth and am 66 years old and live centrally.

What do you think, apart from the cost? Which is difficult.

Yours faithfully
