We are attempting to call an extraordinary meeting within the guidelines of standing orders, A date originally advised within the 7 day period whereby signatories to the call could all attend, was then cancelled & a new date was advised whereby no signatory can attend. Can the original signatories now propose a cancellation to that new date  & and request a mutually acceptable date be agreed

An EGM must be called within 7 days of the request and held within 14 days of the request.

Sorry, where did you get the 14 days bit please?
My mistake, that's from standing orders rather than legislation. The LGA only says it has to be called within 7 days.
