We had a similar problem, when a council meeting was adjourned due to being inquorate, out of the blue the clerk called another meeting without any consultation with the Chair, the chair also called a meeting
The clerks reasoning was this was a rescheduled ordinary meeting and not an extraordinary meeting
The council had already published its meeting dates for the year so some clarity on this would be helpful, please

The jury's out on whether an extra meeting and an extraordinary meeting are the same thing. A rescheduled meeting is simply an ordinary meeting taking place on a different date, but does that make it extraordinary? The legislation doesn't address these issues.

As Clerk, I publish the agendas for all meetings, but always after consultation with the Chair regarding date, time and content.
