Is it illegal not to declare being a company director on Register of Interests?

Our chairman does not talk about his Company and when asked about his job says nothing at all. I have found out that he has a company, using his home address but he has not declared this. How serious an issue is this please.

It is an offence under the Localism Act to fail to declare a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest. I would raise the matter with your Monitoring Officer.
