How does a Parish Meeting get away with deliberately not inviting all members of the Parish to it's Annual Meeting.Yet still have the power to influence local planning decisions. It does not produce a Local Plan either.

Can anyone explain this strange form of Localism?

How does your Parish Meeting "deliberately" not invite members of the public?  How do they advertise the meeting?

Local Plans are not a legal requirement for Parish Councils to produce.  As for influencing Planning, I am sure many Parish Councils would love to have influence on this matter but feel that their views are totally ignored by the planning authority...  Parish Councils are staturoty consultees only and therefore only have the right to comment and not decide planning matters...
