In the event that 10 electors do not call for an election within 14 days of the vacancy being posted ......could you clarify the term 14 days, is this working days and does the day of notice count as the first day.

Found the answer myself ~ sorry ! but answer may be of help to others

The period of 14 days does not include Saturdays, Sundays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Good Friday, a Bank Holiday and any day of Public Thanksgiving or Mourning   The period within which a poll may be claimed begins with the date given on the notice
